Skin Peels at embellish

A professional peel is a controlled chemical exfoliation designed to target different layers of the skin. The depth and intensity depend on the molecular weight and pH of the acids used. For each treatment, the peel is carefully selected based on your skin condition, barrier health and desired outcome.

As we transition into the cooler months, your skin’s needs begin to shift and Autumn is one of the most ideal times of the year to introduce professional skin peels into your routine.

After summer, many of us are left with lingering pigmentation, congestion, uneven tone, or dull, thickened texture. Professional peels work beautifully at this time to reset, refine and strengthen the skin, just as UV exposure begins to reduce.

What Is a Skin Peel?

A professional peel is a controlled chemical exfoliation designed to target different layers of the skin. The depth and intensity depend on the molecular weight and pH of the acids used.

In simple terms:

  • Smaller molecular acids penetrate more deeply
  • Larger molecular acids work more superficially
  • Lower pH levels increase exfoliating activity

Professional peels stimulate:

  • Collagen & elastin production
  • Accelerated cell turnover
  • Skin regeneration
  • Improved product absorption

While many clients notice a visible ‘glow’ after one treatment, peels are designed to work best in a series, as the more we do, the longer we may be leave them on your skin to build upon and gain long term results. A series of six allows us to progressively stimulate collagen, refine pigmentation and improve skin structure safely. Each peel is carefully selected based on your skin condition, barrier health and desired outcome.

Enzyme peel

Gentle resurfacing for glow and texture refinement, our Enzyme Peel uses bio-fermented fruit enzymes to gently digest dead skin cells at the surface. Ideal for first-time peel clients, sensitive skin, skin needing a refresh without specific preparation due to the peel’s low intensity. This is a great introduction to professional resurfacing and we frequently add this peel into facials, even into our MESO skin needling treatments.

Key ingredients include:

  • Papain – Gently dissolves dead skin cells for smoother texture
  • Bromelain – Refines and brightens the skin
  • Lactic Acid – Lightly resurfaces while supporting hydration
  • D-Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) – Soothes and strengthens the barrier
  • Kakadu Plum & Berry Extracts – Provide antioxidant protection
  • Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) – Supports collagen and luminosity

Brightening – Flash C Peel

For dull complexion, pigmentation and early signs of ageing, designed to brighten! This low-intensity peel delivers resurfacing activity equivalent to equivalent to 50% Vitamin C, through a delicate balance of targeted acids. We often incorporate this peel into relaxation facials for an added luminosity boost.

Key ingredients include:

  • Phytic Acid – Brightens and regulates excess pigmentation
  • Ascorbic Acid – Stimulates collagen and enhances radiance
  • Mandelic Acid – Gently exfoliates and refines tone
  • Azelaic Acid – Calms redness and supports pigment correction

Skin Clearing – Acne Peel

For acne-prone, congested and blemish-prone skin this is our go-to peel for breakout-prone skin, as a higher-intensity formulation it helps regulate oil production, dissolve congestion and reduce inflammation. Delivering activity equivalent of 20% Salicylic Acid it is ideal for prepared skin requiring correction.

Key ingredients include:

  • Azelaic Acid – Reduces redness and pigment from breakouts
  • Mandelic Acid – Provides antibacterial exfoliation
  • Lactic Acid – Hydrates while resurfacing
  • Pyruvic Acid – Regulates oil and stimulates collagen

Anti-Ageing & Pigment Peel

For fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage, this is our highest-intensity corrective peel, designed for visible ageing and cumulative sun damage in clients with a prepared barrier, delivering activity equivalent of 35% Glycolic Acid. This peel supports deeper collagen stimulation and structural skin improvement whilst reducing inflammation that can lead to pigmentation.

  • Mandelic Acid – Refines texture and tone
  • Salicylic Acid – Enhances exfoliation and penetration
  • Azelaic Acid – Assists in pigment control
  • Glycyrrhetinic Acid – Soothes and reduces inflammation

DNA Peel*

A Korean designed, next-generation skin regeneration treatment utilising marine-derived spicules — microscopic bioactive structures that create temporary micro-channels within the skin. These spicules enhance the penetration of active ingredients without the use of needles or aggressive trauma. Often described as delivering microneedling-like collagen stimulation without needles, it is ideal for clients wanting deeper renewal with minimal downtime.

Unlike traditional peels that primarily exfoliate the surface, the DNA Peel combines exfoliating acids, enzymes, peptides, vitamins and spicule technology to activate deeper skin repair pathways. This stimulates collagen production, accelerates renewal and strengthens the skin barrier simultaneously. Targeting sun damage, photo-ageing and pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and uneven texture, as well as dullness and reduced skin resilience.

Key Ingredients

  • DNA Spicules (PDRN-based) – Enhance ingredient delivery and stimulate regeneration
  • AHA/BHA blend – Refine texture and dissolve dead skin cells
  • PHA (Gluconolactone) – Provide gentle exfoliation with hydration support
  • Centella Asiatica & Spirulina – Calm inflammation and protect
  • Hyaluronic Acid & Prebiotics – Strengthen moisture retention and barrier resilience
  • Antioxidants & Botanicals – Neutralise oxidative stress

The Real Impact of Sun Exposure on Your Skin & How to Prevent It

Australian women show signs of facial ageing up to 20 years earlier than women in the United States, reinforcing how dramatically high-UV climates accelerate the ageing process when protection isn’t prioritised.
